The Abuja National Stadium Will Be Shutdown Next Week
The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports development has announced the closure of the Abuja National Stadium, in preparation for the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival Abuja.
Mr. Adesola Olusade, the Permanent Secretary to the minister of Youth and Sports development said in an interview with newsmen that ” the break is mandatory, in other to ease the cleaning process, clearing of bushes and maintenance of the Abuja Stadium, Involving it surrounding.
He added that the Abuja National Stadium will be used as the venue for the opening and closing ceremony, and other events that will take place. He concluded that “light and water has been restored to the stadium, and proper cleaning of rooms, maintenance of amenities which will be used for the long-awaited festival would commence in no time”.
