George H W Bush, Former US President dies at 94

George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st President of the United State of America dies at the age of 94.

He led the United States through a chaotic period that witnessed the breakup of the Soviet Union and the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.

His of has released an official Statement that reads thus: “George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator,
Texas oil pioneer,  and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline Robinson ‘Robin’ Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or ‘Bucky’ Bush. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as is practical.”

His son who also became a US President has released a statement on behalf of his family. The statement reads thus: “Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George HW Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens.”

The current President of the United State in the person of President Donald Trump released a statement and in his statement, he praised President George H W Bush for his sound judgment, common sense and unflapped leadership.

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle also released a statement that goes thus: “America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude.
Not merely for the years he spent as our 41st President, but for the more than 70 years he spent in devoted service to the country he loved – from a decorated naval aviator who nearly gave his life in World War II, to commander-in-chief of our armed forces, with plenty of posts along the way.”

George H W Bush served a single term in office from 1989 to 1993. He was a moderate conservative and lacked the charisma and polarising ideology of his predecessor Ronald Reagan, whom he served with as Vice President.

Most importantly he is widely respected for showing a steady hand during the uncertain period that witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of the Communism in eastern Europe that was sponsored by the soviet. His actions during those periods saw the United State emerge as a single Global World Power.

He will be remembered as the patriarch of the Bush Political Dynasty. It has inevitably become one the most successful Political dynasties in the history of the United States Politics.

George H W Bush is the father of 43rd President of the United State and also the father of Jeb Bush. Jeb Bush ran against Donald Trump for the Republican Party nomination but was unsuccessful in 2016 United State election.

George H W Bush wife had passed on earlier at the age of 92 and afterward, his health began deteriorating slowly and was reported to be suffering from Vascular Parkinson’s disease that caused him to suffer a loss of balance and began using a wheelchair since 2012.

He has been admitted to the hospital on several occasions for several diseases but was admitted to a hospital for blood infection a day after his wife funeral.

Despite his health challenges, he celebrated at least three of his birthdays by parachute jumps. He remained active since then until his demise.

He has served the United States in various capacity. He served as an ambassador to the United Nations, and envoy to China, the chairman of the Republican National Committee at the height of the Watergate Scandal, the Director of the CIA and two terms Vice President to Ronald Reagan.

It has been argued that he was the most prepared US President in the history of the United State.

George H W Bush left strong and significant legistlative marks which are the clean air act amendments which were signed into law in 1990 and the americans disabilities act which was also signed into law in 1990.
