NAYOPET SET TO DONATE 5000 Hostel Rooms for 10000 Students of DUFUHS.
The National Youth Peace and Empowerment Project NAYOPET, A Nigerian based NGO with passion for reorientation, redirection and Empowerment of the Nigerian Youths is set to build a 5000 capacity Hostel rooms for the students of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences, Uburu Ebonyi State.
A team of Engineers and Architects led by the President of the Organization Engineer Emmanuel Monye was at the University today 30th June 2023 to inspect the area mapped for the project and as well sign the necessary documents.
The team was warmly welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Jesse Uneke. Prof Uneke who was on ground with all the top management staff of the School was visibly elated to have the university as one of the beneficiaries of the organization’s goodwill.
In his speech, Engr Monye noted that though the university is still very young and lacks the required land mass for the project but would be favourably considered given the zeal and enthusiasm exhibited so far by the school management since they heard the project.
” I am impressed by the zeal and team spirits that we have witnessed so far by you and your management. You are all young people, full of energy, determined and focused so it is no surprise that you have this intimidating results within two years of establishment. Our organisation will provide all the fundings and expertise to carry out this project. We will commit and dedicate all the expertise to ensure that quality accomodations are delivered; we will also ensure that the houses are fully equipped with necessary security gargets, it will be energy efficient, environmental friendly and comfortable. All these comes with no cost from your end, we are not asking you to give us even a dime, it is totally free
In his response, Prof Uneke thanked the NAYOPET team for coming and led them around the premises to inspect the facilities around the school.
” From the moment one of my staff told me about your organization and the projects it’s embarking in different universities, I said that we must benefit from it and that’s why we have been on you, and will continue to disturb you until this becomes a reality.
We are ready to do whatever it will take to see this materialize”. Prof Uneke stated.
The memorandum of Understanding MoU was signed by both parties sealing the agreement of the construction of the Hostel that is expected to be ready in another twelve 12 months.
