JUST IN: New IG of Police Makes First Appointment

On Tuesday the 15th day of January 2019 saw the official appointment of a new IG of Police by President Muhammadu Buhari at Aso Rock Villa Abuja.

Mr. Ibrahim Idris Kpotun the former Inspector General of Police retired at the age of 60 and handed over to Mr. Mohammed Abubakar Adamu who hails from Lafia in Nasarawa State.

After the decoration of the New IG of Police, he made his new appointment. He replaced Jimoh Moshood the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force with Frank Mba.

The New IG of Police announced Mr. Frank Mba as the new PRO of the Nigerian Police Force. Mr. Frank Mba was a one time best graduate cadet of the Nigerian Police Academy.

 

Mr. Frank Mba had served as the Nigerian Police Force PRO before.

He served under Mohammed Abubakar who was the Inspector General of Police from 2012 to 2014.

However, Mr. Mba who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police was relieved of his duties after Abubakar left. With the recent appointment, he will return to his former role as the Nigerian Police Force PRO.
