Ned Nwoko Shares His Opinion on Peter Obi and the Igbos
Ned Nwoko, a popular politician from Delta State and Husband to Actress Regina Daniels, has shared his opinion concerning Mr Peter Obi, a Presidential Candidate under the Labour Party participation in the 2023 Presidential Elections.
The Politician who spoke to BBC Igbo In an interview said Peter Obi was not like other governors he had encountered in the past as he is economical and a big time capitalist.
He also stated that he would like Obi to defect back to the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) as he would flourish as Minister of Economy and help restore the Country’s economy.
Nwoko also affirmed that although Peter Obi is very popular and has a strong support base, he doesn’t have structure to function as he would need the majority of House of Representatives or Senate, State House of Assemblies and government.
The politician states that all these would take about eight years to be attained. He also said Peter Obi cannot be President of Nigeria as there are many things that would work against him.
Nwoko also said that Igbo People are not ready for Presidency as this would have shown in the presidential primaries. He also pondered on why the Delegates chose candidates from other regions, instead of supporting the Igbo candidates.
The Politician stated that the Igbos are selfish people and won’t care about others. He joined that he believes in merit and doesn’t consent to zoning.
