Just In – Gov Ganduje Sacks NNPC/AKK Project Committee Chairman Magaji

Muazu Magaji the committee chairman of the NNPC/AKK pipeline and gas industrialization project has been sacked by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on the grounds of poor performance and insubordination.

According to some local reports, Mr. Muazu Magaji is well known for his outright support of the overthrow of the Afghanistan Government by the Taliban’s in August. He described the overthrow as a win-win

In a Statement signed by the Kano State Commissioner for Information Hon Muhammed Garba, Governor Ganduje accused Mr. Magaji of not measuring “up to with the challenging job, poor performance and insubordination”

From the statement also, Governor Ganduje had expected that Mr Muazu Magaji would have worked diligently in supervising the effective execution of the NNPC/AKK project but Mr Magaji failed to live up to expectation

Mr. Muazu Magaji’s was appointed as the Committee Chairman in April 2021 and was responsible for coordinating the execution of the NNPC/AKK project in close partnership with NNPC

However, we will recall that this was not the first time Mr. Magaji has been sacked. He was first sacked for celebrating the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff Abba Kyari but was later reappointed as the Committee Chairman of the NNPC/AKK project.

Gov Ganduja has since directed Mr. Magaji to hand over to the committee’s deputy chairman Aminu Babba-Dan Agundi the Sarkin Dawaki Babba.
