On 12 October 2021, A Returnee from Qatar, Charged with Smuggling 600g of Heroin.

Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded Perrah Livinus aka Nnakaihe Ikechukwu Livinus in NDLEA custody after his arraignment for allegedly smuggling heroin.

The 42 years Perrah was said to have unlawfully imported 600g of heroin in Nigeria from Qatar.

He committed the offense on May 25 2021 and pleaded “not guilty” before the court.

The counsel to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) Juliana Imaobong-Iroabuchi stated that the defendant Perrah Livinus concealed the heroin in the designer’s button of some female clothes

She added that in furtherance of the crime, Perrah also allegedly acquired a Ghanaian passport with the name Perrah Livinus.

Lilian Omotunde the counsel to the defendant told the judge that she has filled for Perrah’s bail application and that he has already been served.
