Lagos State APC Primaries Remains Valid- Oshiomhole

The Lagos APC primaries election which took place yesterday 2nd of October has been upheld by the National chairman of the ruling Party, All Progressive Congress [APC], Mr Adams Oshiomhole.

It was reported yesterday that the National working committee panel of the Party had cancelled the election and also fixed another date for re-run the election which was to be held on Wednesday this week.

However, immediately after the election, a closed door meeting was hurriedly arranged between the President of Nigeria, President Mohammad Buhari and the national chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. The National Chairman of the Party who spoke with newsmen after the closed door meeting disclosed that the conduct of the primaries was in order.

He noted that everything went accordingly, and under the eagle eye watch and supervision of the of the National Working Committee who who was in charge of the Lagos State APC primaries.

The National Chairman also commended the people of Lagos who participated in the election for their patient and disciplined behavior which they exhibited during and after the election. Noting that no violent act was recorded in the peaceful election which shows how matured and disciplined the people of Lagos more especially the card carrying members of the party has become.

The Chairman also expressed his excitement that the Lagos APC has made a point in Nigeria by giving ordinary people the power to decide who rules them, who should run or not run. He sees this move as a sign of good democracy which have come to stay in Nigeria. He promised that his Party will make sure Nigerians has real sense of democratic processes.
