Court Gives EFCC, DSS, Police 72 Hours To Produce Alison-Madueke

Justice Valentine of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court that sat in Apo Abuja has given the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC), Nigerian Polic Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS) and all the other security agencies to capture and arrest Diezani Alison-Madueke the Nigerian Former minister of Petroleum Resources within 72 hours.

Tony Orilade, the acting spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crime Commision (EFCC) made this know in a statement yesterday in Abuja saying that the order was given by the court following a motion ex-parte filed by Mr. Msuur Denga the counsel to EFCC, praying for a warrant of arrest against Diezani Alison-Madueke so that the commission can arrest and arraign her for alleged financial crimes in Nigeria.

Justice Valentine while granting the ex-parte order said  “The Inspector-General of Police, Chairman of  the EFCC, Attorney-General of the Federation  and the Department of State Services are hereby  ordered in the name of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, to apprehend and arrest the first defendant and produce her before this court for further directives within 72 hours.”

Mr. Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission said that EFCC is working hard with other law enforcement agencies to make sure that Diezani Alison-Madueke is extradited to Nigeria.
