Chef Alan Fisher dethrones Hilda Baci on Guinness World Records

Chef Alan Fisher an Irish restaurant owner, has dethroned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci as the new holder of the longest cooking marathon record.

The Irish man broke the longest cooking marathon for an individual after spending 119 hours 57 minutes which was more than 24 hours longer than the previous record set by the Nigerian Hilda Baci.

Fisher, also claimed the longest baking marathon for an individual, with a total time of 47 hours 21 minutes after beating record holder Wendy Sandner (USA) with a time of 31 hours 16 minutes.

Guinness World Records on Tuesday in a statement disclosed this on social media through X account (formerly Twitter).

The statement read: “Nigerian cooking queen Hilda Baci has been dethroned.”
“Alan Fisher from Ireland cooked for an incredible 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan,” it added.

Speaking more, GWR said, “What was more impressive is that Alan took on both attempts back to back, meaning he was at work in the kitchen for over 160 hours with just over a day of rest in between.”

Alan secured the title for the longest cooking marathon (individual), setting a new record with an astonishing time of 160 hours in the kitchen with just a little rest in between the two record-breaking attempts.

The former record-holder Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci congratulated Alan Fisher.

Reacting to Fisher’s success, Baci wrote on her X account(formerly Twitter) on Tuesday: “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”
