Stop Asking For Slot In Lagos Cabinet- Lateef Femi To Ohaneze Ndi Igbo

A former Federal Commissioner for Works and Housing, Lateef Femi Okunnu has warned The Ohaneze Ndi Igbo an Apex Igbo group in Nigeria to stop asking the Lagos State government for slots in its cabinet.

He also said that Nigeria as a nation needs to return to 12 states structure for better restructuring and proper power balancing.

Mr. Lateef Femi who served under General Yakubu Gowon a former Nigerian Military Head of State said that Gowon’s principle of 12 states in Nigeria was the best but Nigeria lost it when they allowed the twelve states to be divided up to 36 states thereby bringing division among the ethnic groups.

He also said that during Gowon’s regime 6 states was given to the North while 6 was given to the south so everything was balanced and nobody had reason to complain.

‘Nigeria must be restructured for peace to reign’ he said.
