As 2018 gradually comes to an end, Nigerians are gearing up for the festivities that will run from 25th December 2018 to the 1st of January 2019.
This Years Christmas celebration which promises to be highly enjoyable and fun-filled has seen so many association and business owners hosting themselves to an end of the year parties.
One of the outstanding features is the continues celebrations from traders as can be seen from traders in Ariaria Market Aba to Onitsha Main Market all the way to Alaba International Market.
Some Group of College Graduate from the famous Federal Government College Okigwe in Imo State are not left out in the sweet trend that has engulfed various organizations and groups in Nigeria.
They practically ground Imo State to a halt as onlookers wondered what was really going on. Imo State that has not seen infrastructural developmental strides for the past four years, with the Governor of the State His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okoracha been entangled in a political battle of forcing his Son-in-law on the people paid host to the reunion of the 2008 and 2011 graduates of Federal Government College Okigwe.
Top Trends Nigeria gathered that after numerous attempts to host the reunion by the sets proved abortive, they finally settled for the 22nd of December 2018, with 21st of December 2018 is their arrival.
With reports coming from the groups lead organizer Mr. Prince Agwu who is a Lecturer at the Department of the Social Works University of Nigeria Nsukka shows that the reunion was largely sponsored by free will donations from members of the set.
The group also had one of their Vice Principal known as Mrs. Dike give them a talk. She was gifted with a cash award by two members of the group for meritorious contribution to education and the development of the majority of F.G.C Okigwe students during her time as Vice Principal. The cash award that was over 200 thousand Naira was given as a result of the collaboration of Mr. Ajah Excel the CEO of World Scholarship Forum and Mr. Henry Ukwuh the CEO of HenGraft.
Mr. Ajah Excel speaking about the award on his official Facebook account narrated his story on the reason for the award to Mrs. Dike “In 2011, I went to get my original WAEC certificate from FGC Okigwe. Since I couldn’t afford the JAMB form let alone the University tuition
Mr Prince Agwu in response congratulated the two by saying “Lady Dike was Vice Principal of FGC Okigwe for 5 years… Given her selfless contributions to education in general, and our growth, we awarded her, and gave her some currency… We thank World Scholarship Forum headed by Excel-galaxy Ajah Anayo and Feddite Tsomtochukwuh Dangt-H’nry Louismariae-Ukwuh who heads HenGraft for special partnerships in achieving this”
They also gave opportunities for business owners amongst them to pitch their business and let their set mates know what they do. They also paid tribute to their falling comrades who are no longer in this world.
Largely it was an interesting moment for them all as they all had the opportunity to see each after 10 years since the graduated from FGC Okigwe.
