Akon Wins Eket Senatorial District
The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, yesterday held their Senatorial Primaries election all over the Nation.
As a common practice the People of Akwa Ibom State where not left out in the exercise. It is worthy of note that Akwa Ibom State which is currently a Peoples Democratic Party State is been contended for fiercely by the All Progressive Congress APC after His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio defected from PDP to APC.
In Eket Senatorial Zone Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi Emerged as the winner. The exercise was peaceful and eight (8) invalid votes were recorded.

AKON EYAKENYI – 1175 VOTES
EKPENYONG NTEKIM – 246 VOTES
COMFORT BASSEY – 1 VOTE
INVALID VOTES – 8
