Zoning Presidency to the North will mean third term – Sen Ali Ndume

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, the Senator representing Borno South Federal Constituency and currently the Chairman Senate Committee on Army has declared his support for a southerner to clinch the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential ticket for the forthcoming Nigeria general election in 2023.

As the race for the Presidential ticket toughens, Sen Ali Ndume told the newsman on Saturday according to dailypost.ng, ” in the spirit of fairness, justice and equity, any part of South should produce the next All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate“.

He added that “If you say the north should produce the presidential candidate again, it means you are going for the third term, which is not fair and I believe in fairness, justice, and equality.”

“Let candidate from the south — and that means, south-south, southeast, and south-west — clinch the ticket.

However, they have been unverified rumors that the APC wants to zone their Presidential ticket to the North.
