Wizkid Has Changed His Instagram Name To Big Wiz.
Wizkid on Monday, changed his Instagram name to Big Wiz, without any prior announcement . The Grammar winner wasn’t the first Nigerian artist to change his name. There are a lot of other Nigerian artists who have at a time changed their names to reflect their new assumed personality ;most popular among all being Tuface who now goes with 2Baba,Sauce Kid now Sinzu and Nigga Raw who now bears Mr Raw .
Wizkid removed the kid and replaced it with Big for being bigger now. An influencer recently said Wizkid should be addressed as ‘Wizking’ not as ‘Wizkid’ . “He’s bigger than the name now and he should change the name “, his fans always say.
He got the name when he started singing at the of age 11 ,but has gone a long way to win a Grammy Award. His breakthrough came when he was signed by Bank W into his Empire Music Entertainment Record in 2009. His journey to success began with his first hit ” Holla At Your Boy’ .
His Facebook and Twitter account still retain the old name, Wizkid . He has not commented on it , though.
