Why 20 Years Old Ghanaian Will Serve 14 Years Jail Term

Kwabena Adjei a 20-year-Old Ghanaian has been Sentenced to 14 years imprisonment with hard labor by Bekwai Circuit Court.
He was found guilty of the crime of stealing Samsung Galaxy J7 that is worth GHc 1,200 at Poano near Anwiankwanta.
He admitted stealing the phone from the complainants’ room on Nov 5, 2018, around 5:30 am and sold for GHc 700 three weeks later.
Fredrick Nawura who presided over the judgment found Adjei guilty of unlawful entry and stealing contrary to section 152 and 124(1) of Act 29/60.

Inspector Stephen Ofori, the prosecuting detective said the complaint realize that the mobile phone was missing after he woke up.
The complainant suspected Adjei and therefore proceeded to ask his friends to put surveillance of him.
Three weeks after a witness in the case told the complainant that he saw Adjei using the phone at Huntado.
The Complainant the proceeded to report the crime to the Police with then led to the arrest of Kwabena Adjei on 8th December 2018.
