We Are Ready To Discuss With Nigerian Government— Twitter.

Twitter on Friday, revealed its readiness for an open discussion over the Twitter indefinite suspension by the Nigerian Government.

This was made know in a statement released by Twitter policy and also pledged to remain a platform that will forever advocates for freedom of speech and open internet everywhere.

”Today marks one week since Twitter was blocked in Nigeria. We have informed the Nigerian government that we are ready to meet for an open discussion to address mutual concerns and see the service restored.”

“We remain advocates for the free and #OpenInternet everywhere. #KeepitOn”, the platform said.

The statement was released barely two days after Minister Of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the microblogging platform had reached out to them for dialogue.

The Buhari-controlled government has been heavily criticized International and internally for clamping down on freedom of speech. The federal government recently summoned the international friendlier community in Nigeria over the same issue, but they came out to stand against the ban.
