There is no date yet for our return – SUG Director of Information ASPOLY

The Students’ Union Government Directorate of Information, Abia State Polytechnic, Jasper Orisakwe was taken to his Facebook handle to address the students concerning the return date for them. Hence, he made it clear that any news about returning date of the students is just rumour, and no one should buy it.

He wrote,
“We are delighted to come your way again, tho not for a good news, but there is no better news than being alive in good heath, also by God’s side.

I just want to address an issue and answer the most asked question on my message box so far, that school resumes today, 4th May, 2020.

It’ll be a slap to the face of the Students Representatives [SUG] if our subjects are not well informed. This morning, I got some calls from students that they thought school resumes today and they went to check but the gates were locked.

The Governor of the parent State of our prestigious Polytechnic addressed Abians on Friday, 1st May, 2020. He stressed that there shall be no classroom education for now until when it’s right.

.
.

This means that there’s no time table yet for a return to classroom activities, not even from the Federal Government.
Therefore, disregard any information forthwith that there’s a return date for us. Even though we are confident enough that we will be back to Campus to complete our obligations very very soon to your surprise.

.
.

However, I’d like to thank y’all for your massive self-respect knowing your worth as great students with the potential to champion the course of the federation and the world at large.

.
.

I urge you to remain good Ambassadors of the Polytechnic as you’ve always been, and remember that staying safe should not be negotiable.

.
.

I’ll try to always keep y’all updated. For now, have a beautiful week, as we prepare to see in glory in no more time”!

He ended!
