The Igbo Delegate Assembly (IDA) after their one-day extraordinary meeting, that was held in Kaduna has issued a communiqué, asking all Igbos resident in the 19 Northern States to stop running away from the North whenever elections are in the corner.
IDA is the administrative umbrella organization of all Igbos resident in the North including Abuja and is also responsible for their welfare.
The communiqué which was signed by the groups President-General Chief Chikezie and Secretary-General Comrade Auston Ofokansi Ifedinezi respectively stated that Igbos based in the North should remain in their bases and contribute to the political development of those areas.
The group admonished all its members to remain law-abiding and stay away from thuggery in the 2019 general election.
The IDA Executives, The State Presidents in the North and all Eze Igbo of the 19 Northern States where in attendance in the meeting. They deliberated elaborately on issues affecting Igbos in the North and how they can live in harmony with their host communities.
