Police Investigate Shooting by Burna Boy’s Escorts at Lagos Club

On June 8, 2022, a shooting incidence occured at Club Cubana, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Two clubers -Irebami Lawrence the second victim only identified as Tolu were shot by the police escorts of the popular musician, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy following an argument which ensued at the club that night.

The musician and five police escorts visited the club but from the information gathered, four of the escorts remained at the entrance to the club while the musician and just one of the escorts proceeded to enter the club accompanied by three ladies.
When the clubbing was at it’s peak, it was said that the musician had seen another woman that appealed to him whom he made advances at not knowing that she was married and was at the club with her husband. The husband of the woman allegedly asked the musician to keep off his wife , vehemently refusing the advance of the musician towards his wife which led to a heated argument between friends of the man and the escorts of the musician.

The escorts opened fire and had two men shot (names aforementioned).The musician immediately fled the scene after realizing what had happened but the escorts responsible for the shooting were arrested by the police force who arrived the scene almost immediately.

The Lagos police Headquarters spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, twitted that the escorts have been identified and detained following their ill behaviour with the civilians. He stated that proper investigation on the case had began and the escorts would definitely get what ever punishment coming to them. He further assured the public that the case will be handled appropriately.

So far, there has been no news on a statement concerning the incident by the popular musician and the victims of the incident have since been hospitalized and are responding to treatment.
