Police Arrest Woman who sells her two daughters for N300,000 In Ogun.

 

Ogun State Police Command arrested a housewife, Blessing Agoro, who’s accused of selling her two daughters, Semilore Agoro, who’s four years old, and Deborah Agoro, who’s barely two years old, to a couple living in Rivers State.

She was arrested after her husband, Oluwaseyi Agoro, reported the missing of her two children to the Redeemed Camp Divisional Headquarters of the state.

According to a report, the husband, Agoro, complained of not seeing his two daughters since when he came back home on Tuesday, and all the efforts he made to know the whereabouts of his children were futile; he had to report his wife to the police.

The suspect, Blessing Agoro, confessed to having sold her two daughters when she could not afford to cater to their needs, including another two she had for another man, since her husband, Oluwaseyi Agoro, left them two years ago.

She also revealed that when she was contemplating on what next to do, one Kolawole Imoleayo helped link her up to a couple living in Port Harcourt, who was desperately in need of a child and she had to sell the two children to them at the rate of N 300,000.

The middle man, Kolawole Imoleayo, has been arrested immediately after the confession.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered the command in charge of the case to hand the suspects over to the anti-human trafficking and child labor unit of the state.

Investigations are now ongoing.
