Osun Decides: SDP candidate may join force with Adeleke
The Governorship flag bearer of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore may join forces with the PDP candidate Senator Adeleke to kick out APC from the Government House.
In a Twitter post by a former minister of aviation and an aid to formal President Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Femi Fani Kayode popularly known as( FFK) , he revealed that he will talk to his cousin Senator Iyiola Omisole who came third in the Osun Governorship election to support the PDP candidate in other to send APC packing on Thursday.
The PDP Chieftain also commended the PDP members in Osun state for their gallant fight which led to the party’s victory in the election which was declared inconclusive by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
“I am so proud of PDP in Osun State, congratulation to my friend and brother, Senator Demola Adeleke. Now is the time for us to reach out and work with others. I will talk to my cousin Iyiola Omisore. He is a fighter. We need him. We must join forces and send the APC Demons packing
Later in the day, another PDP Chieftain by name Price Adeleja posted through his twitter handle that the SDP candidate has agreed to work with PDP in other to achieve a common goal which is to make sure APC does not return to the government house after the election re-run that will hold on Thursday. He said that the Senator made the agreement after the Senate President Bukola Saraki reached out to him this evening. He also revealed in his tweet that discussion is ongoing with Adeoti of ADP and another candidate who participated in the election.
However, in a statement released by the SDP candidate and one-time Deputy Governor of the State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, warned supporters to disregard any rumour of any alliance with any political party or candidate for now.
