Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Confidential Negotiations for Nnamdi Kanu’s Release


A faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, led by Chidi Ibeh, has revealed that it is engaged in confidential negotiations with the goal of securing the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), by the end of the year. This development was shared in a statement by Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary General of this faction of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization.

The faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, under Chidi Ibeh’s leadership, is actively involved in confidential negotiations aimed at securing the release of Nnamdi Kanu. The statement did not divulge further details regarding the nature of these negotiations or the parties involved.

They have also called upon all Biafra agitators to observe a ceasefire, refraining from any offensive aggression from October 31, 2023, for a duration of 40 days. This request is made to ensure a conducive environment for the negotiations and potential release of Nnamdi Kanu.
