Nigerians Should Rise Against Fulani Herdmen— Governor Akeredolu .
Rotimi Akeredolu has been a critic of the barbaric actions of the herders who are bent on killing of innocent people, ravaging of their farms and properties .
He appealed to Nigerians to rise against the herders ,after the ruthless recent attacks in Ibarapa and other areas of the region.
The governor who is also the chairman of South-West Governors’ forum , directed the region’s security outfit , Amotekun ,to emerge its operation to resist what he dubbed ‘ herdsmen savagery’ on the region and the state, Ondo State .
He revealed on Sunday, while describing the attack in Iganga as “a cowardly onslaught” ,he also urged the security operatives to dig deeper into the root of the provocation.
Herdsmen have been terrorizing the area for a while now, and recently attacked Iganga in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, this seemed to have woken the governor’s anger from slumber to action. 10 people died as a result of the attack .
Akeredolu called on Nigerians to wake up from silence against the herdsmen savagery and condemn the attack .
