Labor Party Presidential Candidate Resigns and Declares Support for Buhari
As the 2019 Nigerian General election is drawing near, Sam Nwanti who happens to be the Presidential Candidate of the Labor Party (LP), has resigned from the Presidential race and declared his support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sam Nwanti, an American detective and hails from Mbieri in Mbaitoli district of Imo State, made this known in an interactive session with journalists in Owerri.
During the interaction, he revealed that he is abandoning the race in other to strengthen President Buhari’s re-run in 2019 and then prepare himself for 2023 general election.
Speaking he said: “Today, I withdraw from contesting for the presidential race on the platform of Labour party and back to APC. I am back to APC to support President Buhari for his second term bid because he needs our support to get things a right once again. I will help All Progressives Congress and Buhari led administration fight corruption and as the only detective who is contesting in 2019, it may split the support of President Muhammadu Buhari,”
He made it clear that his resignation from the race is mainly to support President Buhari and his fight against corruption.
