JUST IN: Police Officer Beheaded In Agila and Ngbo Boundary Crisis
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a yet to be identified Police officer assigned to the Ukwuagba area of Ngbo in Ebonyi State was said to have been killed and beheaded by attackers suspected to come from Agila communities of Ebonyi State.
We will recall that on 31st October 2018, a series of resolutions was reached after the National Boundary Commission waded into the boundary clash between Agila community of Ebonyi State and Ngbo Community of Ebonyi State.
One of such agreement was to dispatch Security Officers at various points between the two communities so as to prevent them from attacking each other again but with the Wednesday incident, Agila community may have violated the terms.
The Government of Benue State and that of Ebonyi State are yet to construct the road linking the two communities so as to provide a free passageway for security operatives to monitor and maintain peace within the area.
The Agila andNgbo crisis is said to have lasted for a long time with many lives lost already.
