JUST IN: Kwankwaso’s convoy attacked in Kano, many feared dead
Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso the former Governor of Kano State has been attacked and many have been reported to have died.
Kwakwanso’s convoy was attacked in Kofa village in Bebeji Local Government of Kano State.
Rabiu Kwankwaso who is also the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Kano State had planned his final rally alongside Abba Yusuf the Kano State PDP Governorship Candidate.
Reports have it that he was attacked by thugs allegedly loyal to Abdulmumin Jibrin a member representing Kitu/Bebeji Constituency. The house of Jibrin was set ablaze during the clash.
The thugs blocked the road an insisted that Kwankwaso Convoy will not pass their village.
The barricading of the road by the thugs led to a bloody clash that left members of both sides dead.
At the time of filing this report, about 10 cars have been burnt and the number of those dead is yet to be known.
Abdullahi Harunna, the Kano State Police Command Spokesman confirmed the incident and said that Police personnel has been dispatched to bring the situation under control.
