Gov Nwifuru Procures Innoson Buses For Ebonyi Workers
The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru has purchased four sets of 100 seater of Innoson CNG buses to cushion the effects of the hardship occasioned by the increase in petroleum products.
Reporting this development on his Facebook page the special assistant to the Governor on documentation Dr. Boniface Nwankwo wrote:
“Are you aware that His Excellency, Right Honourable Builder Francis Nwifuru, GGCEHF has procured four number 100 seater Innoson CNG buses that will be conveying workers of the State to their work places at no cost?
The buses which have been designated to be conveying Staff to Ebonyi State University, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki, the International Airport as well as Ebonyi State College of Education Ikwo and AE-FUNAI are procured as a way of cushioning the effect of hardship orchestrated by the recent fuel subsidy removal.
His Excellency while announcing this during his Independence Speech on Sunday, clarified that no Civil Servant is expected to pay a dime for commuting through the vehicle as cost of fuel and maintenance have already been borne by the State Government.
This gesture is verily in line with His Excellency’s people’s charter of needs manifesto”.
