FG Declares 25th & 26th December 2018 and Jan 1, 2019, As Public Holiday

Christians all over the world will be celebrating the Birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December popularly known as Christmas.

The Federal Government has declared the 25th of December and 26th December as Public Holiday.

They have also declared the 1st of January 2019 as Public Holiday, because it is the beginning of a New Year.


This information was made know by  Lt.General (RTD) Abdulrahman Dambazau who is the Nigerian Minister of Interior on behalf of the Federal Government.

Making the announcement via a statement signed by the Director of Press for the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Mohammed Manga urged Christians and all Nigerians, in general, to use the period to pray for the progress and development of Nigeria.
