ASUU expected to call off strike today – FG
According to the Federal Minister of Education, Mr. Adamu Adamu, who granted a media conference in Abuja yesterday, said “the strike will be called off from today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) and certainly, there won’t be strike next week.”.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU have been on strike since November 5th, 2018 after numerous attempt to reach an agreement with the Federal Government failed.
The strike has affected academic activities across the country. Both sides have been holding talks but nothing seems to be coming out of it.
Mr. Adamu Adamu hinted that an agreement has been reached with ASUU and is expected to call off the strike.
