UEFA: Osimhen and Haaland Tops List of Most Shots, no Goals

In Europe currently, Osimhen and Haaland are the leading strikers and it is surprising to see them top the list of most shots, with no goals.

The Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, tops the list of players with the most shots taken in the UEFA Champions League this season after the two played group matches. The statistical website, Whoscored.com, states that “Osimhen has 13 shots in the competition so far and has not recorded any goal for Napoli in their games in the Champions League this season”. Manchester City hitman Haaland was the top scorer and champion of last season’s Champions League competition with 12 goals but has not been able to record a goal in this campaign. While Osimhen scored five goals in six matches last season’s Champions League games but is yet to score this season but has only one assist in Napoli’s 2-1 win over Braga.
