Student Donates N500000 To The IEF School Scholarship Fund
An SS3 Student donates N500,000 out of the N2M cash prize issued to him. The emerging winner of the Best Mind Competition has surprised the public by donating the sum of N500,000 out of the N2m which he won.
He came out as the emerging winner of the competition with which he donated N500,000 to the IEF school scholarship fund. This occurred after the ceremony of marking the receipt of the Bank draft by the secretary of the Ikota Education Foundation by the name Mr. Matthew Osawemen.
The Stanbic bank issued out the sum of N2m to the emerging winner of the Best Mind Competition which was organized by the Elsie Abimbola Fernandez Foundation with which Munachimso of Whitesand School happens to be the lucky winner.
Alongside the N2m, he also received N100000 gift voucher from Ebeano stores which enables him to purchase any product of his choice in the store.
However, the Ikota Education Foundation is noted to be a ‘not-for-profit Institution’. After all, IEF has established over 2 institutions in Enugu State, the first happens to be the Hillrange Secondary School for (boys) thereafter, the Roseville Secondary School for (girls).
The young student has participated in several academic competition. He also came amongst the finalists at the Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition for the Senior category in Lagos which was organised and conducted by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN).
However, he made it to the finals of the P-Z Cussons Chemistry Competition and is observed to be the presiding assistant school prefect of his school Whitesand School.
