See When Atiku and Obi will Appear at THE CANDIDATES
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Peter Obi a former Governor of Anambra State will be live at THE CANDIDATES on 30th Jan 2019.
The Candidates which was a Town Hall meeting organized by Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) is the platform in which the media giant is giving Nigerians the opportunity to meet their various Presidential aspirants before the forthcoming Presidential election on the 16th of February 2019.
President Buhari and his Vice Osibanjo were present at THE CANDIDATES on 16th January 2019 live at the candidates. The show was anchored by Kadaria Ahmed and various questions were asked Buhari and Osibanjo as Nigerian watched.

In the same vein, President Buhari was supposed to appear at The Presidential Debate that was organized by Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG) in collaboration with Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria in Abuja, but he failed to come and gave his schedule as an excuse.
However, Atiku Abubakar who is contesting the Presidency under the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) left some of the things he was doing in the United State and attended the event but he declined to debate with the reason the President Buhari was not present and therefore renders the debate meanless. He also asked President Buhari to pick another date so they can debate.

Atiku came under heavy attack by some Nigerian and called his actions a missed opportunity. They claimed that the debate was the only opportunity Atiku had to present his plans to Nigerians.
On Atiku’s Twitter handles, he has, however, said he will appear at the candidates on 30th January and if any Nigerian has any question to ask him, he should add them to his tweet.
Peter Obi and I look forward to articulating our plans to get Nigeria working again on NTA’s The Candidates on 30th January. If you have any questions for us to answer, please add them to this tweet. -AA #AskAtiku
