PDP primaries: Saraki’s running mate revealed
The question burning in the heart of so many Nigerians is this; who will be the official PDP flag bearer? As I write, a convention is going on in the garden city of Port Harcourt the capital city of Rivers State, Nigeria.
The convention will decide the fate of the party’s numerous aspirants, among the aspirants are, the governor of Sokoto State, Governor Tambuwal, Formal vice president of Nigeria, Chief Atiku Abubakar, formal governor of Kano state, senator kwakwanso and the Senate president of Nigeria, Senator Bukola Saraki and others.
Dr. Saraki is a very smart politician who knows how to maneuver his way into any political position despite the opposition he might face.
Before now rumors had it that the Senate President was considering his deputy Senator Ike Ekweremadu as a running mate. The two Senators have been friends for long and have a mutual understanding.
There is a strong indication that Senator Saraki might emerge as the PDP flag bearer, as he enjoys the support of some PDP senators and big wings.
Just yesterday, one of Saraki’s media aid; Dele Momodu shared a striking picture on his twitter handle showing Dr.Saraki discussing passionately with formal Governor of Anambra state, Dr.Peter Obi.
Since the pictures graced the internet, many are suspecting that the Senator Bukola Saraki may have concluded a plan to run with Mr.Peter Obi.
Now the question is, between Peter Obi and Ike EkwereMadu, who will make a better running mate to Dr.Saraki if eventually, he becomes the flag bearer of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party. (PDP).
