Osimhen: Napoli Planning Legal Action against Company Over ‘Osimhen Doll’

The Italian champion Napoli, has announced that they will take a famous Italian toy store to court for an unlicensed doll about its striker, Victor Osimhen over a doll resemblance to the Nigerian international according to Daily Post: “The Partenopei claimed that the unlicensed doll bears an uncanny resemblance to Victor Osimhen”. However, Doll’s uncanny resemblance to the Napoli hit-man has made it go viral on social media because it has several features that link it to the Nigerian forward. The Doll were designed with Osimhen’s protective mask, a light blue jersey with number 9(Napoli shirt), as well as blond tuft of curly hair.

Napoli released a statement on Thursday evening confirming that the doll is unlicensed and that Club and Osimhen did not in any way authorize its creation, therefore, breaching his image rights”, hence, they are planning to take legal action against the company for redress. Napoli released a statement and said: “With reference to the news, which appeared on numerous online information sites, relating to the imminent marketing of a children’s game called “Cicciobello Bomber” – a doll that reproduces the features of the player Victor Osimhen, portrayed wearing a uniform clearly referable to the shirt from the Club’s first team – the SSCN specifies that this is an unofficial product, the creation of which has not been authorized in any way by the Club,” Napoli said in a statement. The Company has therefore taken steps to protect its interests in the appropriate places,
