No Winner in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District (Ikot Ekpene) – INEC

They have been speculations going on social media that Sen Godswill Akpabio the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State was defeated at the polls by  Mr Chris Ekpenyong a former Deputy  Governor of Akwa Ibom State to Obong Victor Atta.

Mr. Mike Igini the Independent  National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Akwa Ibom State declared on Monday at the Akwa Ibom State collation center that no winner has been declared for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial  district on Monday during the resumption of collation of results for the presidential and National Assembly Elections  in Uyo.

The REC further added that the collation officer for Udung Uko Local Government, Mr Emeka Adizua was held hostage on Saturday and was rescued by the Police on Sunday and also that the result from the LGA has been cancelled.
