Labour Party Youth Council On Courtesy Visit To Sports & Youths Development Commissioner.

The youth council of the Labour party of Nigeria (LP), Umuahia North Chapter, on Wednesday, October 18th 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the office of the commissioner for Sports & youth development.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of Labour Party Umuahia North youth council, Comrade Christopher Iroanya, said their visit was to inform the commissioner of their programs, and sucess story recorded, especially with the registration of the youth wing of the party as a cooperative, which will see them get access to loan facilities.

He said the win recorded in court, by the Labour party in the state is sign of victory and clearly shows that Labour Party is a party that has grace that will transform Abia State.

A member of the delegation, Ezennaka Chukwuebuka, said it was necessary to revive the state chapter of the National youth council of Nigeria, (NYCN) which he said has been moribund as compared to other states, that regularly organize youth-oriented programs.

Responding, the Commissioner, Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba, thanked them for their visit, also telling them that Labour Party is a party that welcomes youths, who form a larger number in the party.

He maintained that Governor Alex Otti (OFR), recognizes youths, and that’s why his administration has shown much commitment to developing youths in the state, as seen in his appointments of state executives amongst others.

The sports & Youth boss told them also that his office is always open to good ideas and proposals that will help empower the youths, for a better society.
