Just In: Newspaper vendors protest in Abuja after a member was killed [Photos]
The Abuja newspaper vendors have taken to the streets to protest the killing of their colleague by the security detail attached to the speaker of the house of representatives Femi Gbajabiamila.
According to local reports, Ifeanyi Okereke Elechi who was the victim was killed by stray bullets after a Police officer that is attached to the speaker fired bullets into the air.
Ifeanyi Okereke‘s wife is also said to be nursing a three weeks old baby.

However, the speaker Hon Femi Gbajabiamila took to his Twitter handle to announce that the Police officer responsible for the act has been suspended from his convoy. He added that Mr. Abdullahi M. Hassan the Policer responsible for the crime was also handed over to the Department of State Security (DSS) for investigation and appropriate administrative and judicial action.
We will recall that today marks exactly one month after Nigerians were killed at Lekki toll gate because of the #EndSARS peaceful protest to end Police brutality in Nigeria.
