Just In: 3 Nigerians arrested with illicit drugs in Cambodia [Photos]
In Phnom Penh district of Cambodia, three Nigerians were arrested on the suspicion of trafficking more than 20kg of crystal methamphetamine according to foreign media.
The Cambodian National Police published on its website that they seized more than 20kg of the drug which was packed in 21 plastic bags.
They added that the trio is being questioned and will be sent to the court for legal action in accordance with the law.
The suspects have been identified as Maduka Jonas Chibuzo (35 years), Chika Odinaka (25 years), and Davis Chime (30 years).
According to reports, the smuggled the illicit drugs from Lagos the capital of Nigeria into Cambodia.
However, Cambodia does not have a death sentence for illicit drug traffickers under its law but anyone found guilty of trafficking more than 80 gram of illicit drugs will face a life sentence in prison.
