JAMB Discloses New Price for its UTME Forms
Following a recommendation as approved by the President Muhammadu Buhari for JAMB to sell their form for N3500 and not the Current price of N5000, The Chairman of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Mr. Emmanuel Ndukwe has disclosed that JAMB will effect the change in price from next year January.
He said the selling of the forms is due to the fact JAMB have decided to implement the N3500 new price from next year and that if they begin the sell this year, it will still be sold for N5000.
Furthermore, he said the new price was as a result of the recommendation JAMB made to the Federal Government because it was becoming difficult for Parents to afford the N5000 price for their wards. He also praised the Federal Government for approving the recommendation for the forms price reduction
Read an excerpt of his statement below:
“You are aware that the Federal Government has reduced the cost of JAMB forms from N5,000 to N3,500. But it is going to take effect from next year. Therefore, if we now start selling the forms today, we will still sell at the cost of N5,000 because the approval does not cover for now. That is why we have shifted the sale of JAMB form to any day from the first of January.
“It is a very good move from the Federal Government based on our recommendation. Even though we are returning money to the coffers of the Federal G0overnment, our primary objective is not just to make money because that money is coming from somewhere and it is difficult for some people to raise that money and pay for JAMB form even though JAMB form is among the cheapest in the whole world.”
