Gunmen Abducted Pastor and His Family

Rev. Agbadamashi Emmanuel, an Anglican pastor together with his family-wife and children have been abducted by unknown gunmen at Evwreni junction. According to PUNCH Metro, the incident happened on Friday when the priest and his family were traveling to the Uwheru community in the North Local Government Area of Delta State. The gunmen kidnapped them and dragged them into the bush.
Hon. Justice Iyasere, the Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, confirmed the incident to correspondents on Monday morning in Warri. The PRO could not state if the kidnappers had made any demand since the incident occurred but stated that the pastor and his family are still in captivity.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, when contacted by journalists denied knowing about the incident but promised to reach out to the reporters immediately information got to him from the Divisional Police Officer.
