Goodluck Jonathan Visits Tinubu After Supreme Court’s Judgement
The former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, visits President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the state House, Abuja on Friday.
His visit to Tinubu came about 24 hours after the supreme court of Nigeria upheld Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th, 2023 presidential election in which Tinubu was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the petition filed by the Labor Party, (LP) Presidential candidate Peter Obi, and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar Respecively, to challenge President Tinubu’s victory.
However, the apex court dismissed Obi and Atiku and their political parties on the grounds that they lacked merit. reaffirming that the appellants failed to prove their cases against the incumbent president.
However, at the time of filing this report, the reason for Jonathan’s visit to President Tinubu and the subject of discourse is yet to be known.
