Election Update: Enugu West Senatorial District [INEC Official Result]

Enugu West Senatorial District is the Senatorial of Sen. Ike Ekweremadu the Deputy Senate President.

Sen. Ike Ekweremadu ran for the Senate under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Emmaunel Eze, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for Enugu West Senatorial District announced Senator Ike Ekweremadu as the winner of the keenly contested election.

Mr. Emmanuel Eze did this at around 2:10 pm on Sunday afternoon at the Agwu Local Government Area headquarters, which is also the collation center for Enugu West Senatorial District and also INEC office.

Sen Ike Ekweremadu faced Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku-Nwaugwu at the polls. She contested for the election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

She is also a Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Justice Sector Reform/Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

Enugu West Senatorial District is made up of five Local Government Areas with Udi Local Government inclusive.
