Chika Ike and Ned Nwoko Deny Paternity Rumors Amid Childbirth Speculation

Nigerian actress Chika Ike and businessman-politician Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko have both strongly refuted rumours linking him to the paternity of her newly born child. The speculation, widely spread by blogs and social media platforms, suggested that the billionaire politician and husband of actress Regina Daniels was the father of Ike’s baby and was planning to take her as his seventh wife.

In response, Nwoko’s Director of Communications issued an official statement categorically dismissing the rumours as false and baseless. The statement emphasized that the claims were a product of malicious speculation, urging the public to disregard them.

“Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue.”

The statement further noted that as a public figure with an actress wife, Nwoko is often subjected to fabricated stories, but he remains focused on his political responsibilities.

“Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions. This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news.”

Meanwhile, Chika Ike also took to social media to shut down the paternity rumours, stating that her child’s father remains private and not subject to public speculation. The actress expressed her frustration over the relentless rumours concerning her personal life but emphasized that she had to speak up this time because it involved her child.

“FALSE! FALSE! FALSE! There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are—RUMOURS THAT NEEDED NO RESPONSE. But this is different, this is about my CHILD…. You all do not know anything about me! Because you CAN’T! Except I choose to disclose.”

Ike also made it clear that polygamy is not for her and that she would never be a seventh wife to anyone, including Nwoko.

“Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever’s name you might come up with later with your guessing games—like I’ve said before, I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”

The Nollywood star concluded by reiterating her desire for privacy and her happiness in embracing motherhood on her terms.

“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumors because I understand it comes with my career choice, and the only reason I’m responding to this is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace, and NO ONE can unsettle me. I’m basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy, and that’s all that matters to me now.”

With both parties dismissing the allegations, the speculation appears to be another case of celebrity gossip gone too far. Fans and well-wishers continue to send congratulatory messages to Chika Ike on her new journey into motherhood while awaiting an official reveal of her child’s father, should she choose to share that information.

Final Thoughts

In an industry where rumours spread like wildfire, celebrities often find themselves at the centre of unfounded speculation. Both Chika Ike and Ned Nwoko have clarified that the truth is far from the sensational headlines. As the dust settles, one thing remains certain—Chika Ike is focused on her child, and Nwoko remains committed to his political duties.
