Arsenal Boss Opposes FA’ Injured Saka’s call up

The Arsenal forward Saka, has been facing some injury setbacks since this season. He was substituted in each of Arsenal’s previous two League games against Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth before they played a home match against Manchester City.
However, the 22-year-old has also developed into an important player for Gareth Southgate’s team who need him at least for the match against Italy during this international break. Therefore, The Football Association, FA, is expecting the Arsenal winger to report to the England camp ahead of their upcoming international friendly and Euro 2024 Qualification despite his injury condition.

Evening Standard reported that: “The FA was still anticipating Saka to report to St. George’s Park on Monday morning to be examined by the national team’s medical personnel. The Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta, insists that the Bukayo Saka is unavailable because Arsenal want Saka to take a break during the international break so that he will fit before they match against London rivals, Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge coming Saturday, October 21. Arsenal manager Arteta was asked if Saka would travel with the national team, responded: “No, he couldn’t make it. He hasn’t had a single training session, so he will be out. He’s not available to play football at the moment.” Metro news quoted The England boss Southgate saying last week about whether he would risk Saka: ‘I’ve been a player and I’ve never, ever taken a risk on a player’s physical well-being. And nor would I!’ He continued: ‘We’ve obviously got a very important qualifier. We look after the players as well as any country. We have really good dialogue with all of their clubs. They have trust in us that we make decisions that are right for the long-term whenever we can. ‘We only have 10 matches a year. And there’s been times when with Bukayo, for example, we haven’t always played him. But there are certain key games where if it’s possible to have your best players then you do want to have them.’
