Aggrieved Ijaw Youths blows hot, threatens to ground Nigeria [Video]
Mr. Peter Igbifa the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in a video that has gone viral has threatened to cripple oil drilling in the Niger Delta.
Making this known in Port Harcourt yesterday, he said the aggrieved youths will soon come out en mass to protest what he termed lopsided application of mining regulations in Nigeria.
Peter Igbifa cited that it was annoying for the Federal Government to allow Zamfara State to mine and own their gold deposit while denying the Niger Delta the same privilege.

Speaking on behalf of the members of the Ijaw Youth Council, they are demanding the amendment of the constitution to endure resource control, amend the NDDC Act, address Wetland challenges, Kill the Water resources bill, and amongst other show practical commitment in reconstructing the East-West road and other bad roads in the Niger Delta.
He added that they are tired of the cheating in which the Mining Act allows Zamfara State to mine and own its gold but forbids the Niger Delta from owning its crude oil.
