A total number of 13 people dies as vehicle explodes yesterday 9th November 2018. These occurred in Rivers State, Port Harcourt.
It was reported that the vehicle containing 13 passengers and the driver were burnt to flames, on their way to Lagos, with only one survivor, who was rushed to the hospital for proper treatment.
The River State police spokesman Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, in an interview, regarded the rate of accident in Nigeria as common and considered it to be as a result of the poorly maintained roads.
Due to over speeding by drivers, disregard for traffic regulations, use of unauthorized vehicles, etc.
He stated that all these are the main causes of the rampant accident in the country.
